The holidays merry and bright, right? But they can also act like a magnifying glass when it comes to our pain and grief. Instead of denying our grief, delaying our pain, or simply distracting ourselves, there’s a better way.
Only God really knows how much more you can truly handle. But this much is true – God will never be beyond his ability to give you his presence, his power, and his comfort in any moment of need in your life.
He blesses us with his very presence. He is here when we hurt. And he’s been through it all – just think of the sufferings of Jesus and realize that God has felt our pain in the form his Son, the rejected and crucified Lamb of God.
When we should be experiencing chaos, we can have an irrational kind of peace instead. Whatever you’re facing right now, pray about it and wait for his peace.
If Jesus can be trusted, then lean into his promises like a saved child of God, a redeemed believer delivered from the power of even death itself!
You’ll be amazed at how simplified decision-making becomes when it’s all about pleasing and honoring King Jesus. And you’ll also be amazed at how much less you have to worry about.
